Kitchen Cleaning Checklist

Tags:

The kitchen is one of the busiest rooms in our homes, in which countless meals are prepared and shared daily. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, countless brew making, and midnight snacks can all leave a trail of mess leaving you with a messy kitchen! Over time stains, food splatters and water marks can build up in the kitchen and let’s not forget the burnt-on grease marks on the hob which we promised ourselves we would clean later. But don’t worry, to make your kitchen shine again here at Vax we have put together a kitchen cleaning checklist.

Declutter the counter tops

Any dirty dishes and mugs that have been left out on the side put them in the dishwasher or in the sink and wash up. Then have a quick tidy up, put away any kitchen items which belong in the cupboards, then bin any rubbish that’s been left out on the sides such as old tea bags and food wrappers. By having a tidy up it will free up room on your counter tops allowing you to clean.

Wipe down

Over time, kitchen cabinets can get very sticky and greasy from continual use while cooking. To remove the grease and grime try using an all-purpose cleaner, or if you have wooden kitchen cabinets try using a cleaner specifically made for wood. But don’t forget to test the cleaner first in a hidden spot to make sure it won’t damage your kitchen cabinets.

Next, the kitchen countertops, with so much happening on your countertops such as food and drink preparation, it can lead to spillages which can then cause bacteria. To eliminate the mess, depending on the surface try using warm soapy water and a cleaning rag then dry or use an antibacterial cleaner to remove bacteria.

Steam clean

Kitchen grease and stains can be a nightmare to remove, we have all had our fair share of scrubbing stubborn grease off the kitchen tiles and hobs. But don’t worry you can make your kitchen cleaning easier by using a Vax steam cleaner.
